A NAMI Metro Suburban Living Room Overnight Coordinator is based out of the La Grange location with oversight of LaGrange and Summit location overnight staff. This position will travel between the two sites regularly but will also be flexible to help with location needs. This position works Monday through Friday from 12a-8a. Evenings, weekends, and some holidays are required. Additionally, there may be required trainings or meetings outside of regular work hours.

Provide Support and Coaching to Overnight Recovery Support Specialists
- Provide on-site support and direct supervision to Recovery Support Specialists working overnight shifts at LaGrange and Summit sites.
- Ensures consistency of information being distributed amongst team members
- Work with Site Supervisors to create schedules, manage time off, and approve payroll for team as needed
- Approach interactions from a non-judgmental standpoint, utilizing aspects of the following evidence-based models: strength-based and person-centered approach, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing.
- Promote recovery best practices as are applicable to programming at Living Room
- Assist the peer recovery support specialist in utilizing the following recovery tools to help guests in building a strong foundation in their recovery, while tracking progress and celebrating success: SMART Goals, Wellness Plan, Safety Plan.
- Assist in training new team members
- Lead nightly team huddles
- Ensure accountability for team members completion of case notes, follow up calls, EOD notes, and outreach efforts
Effectively Deliver Services to Guests:
- Approach guest interactions from a non-judgmental standpoint, utilizing aspects of the following evidence based models and techniques: strength based and person centered approach, trauma informed care, motivational interviewing.
- Utilize recovery tools to assist guests in building a strong foundation in their recovery, while tracking progress and celebrating success. Some tool usage would be SMART Goals, Wellness Plan, Self Care Plan.
- Assist guests in navigating multiple systems (mental health, insurance, State benefits, etc.) through coaching and modeling, assisting in guests skill development
- Working with guests to address social determinants of health by screening for security in housing, food, employment or education, and healthcare, linking and following guest to completion.
- Meet one on one with guests on an ongoing basis to create and check in on recovery and social determinants of health plans, which outline current strengths and areas of need
- Collaborate with guests to create Safety Plans as needed.
- Coordinate with other members of guests support team as needed.
- Provide guests with resources and referrals to relevant services.
- Acknowledges own lived experience and shares parts of recovery story as appropriate and relevant.
- Models effective coping techniques, boundaries, and self care strategies.
- Facilitate Recovery Support Groups
Administrative Duties:
- Utilizes Apricot database to enter guest profiles, recovery tools, and case notes within 24 hours.
- Compiles, creates and sends daily metrics from all shifts
- Completes follow up calls to first time guests within 24 hours.
- Writes Care Cards to guests monthly.
- Assist in the development of resource materials and preparation and maintenance of accurate records and information
- Composes and sends end of shift note
- Ensure overnight team is composing and sending Weekly Success Stories
- Write group agenda a week prior to group, and upload to Teams
- Completes applicable trainings, approved by supervisor, to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Remain HIPAA compliant
- Act as a Mandated Reporter
Actively Engage with Team:
- Communicate and collaborate with team members during shift.
- Assist in hospitalizing guests when needed.
- Participate in weekly supervision with each overnight staff member
- Effectively communicate with leadership and colleagues to debrief, consult, and receive support as needed.
- Accountable for reviewing and responding to emails, including training material and resources.
