Family Support Services Supervisor

$27 - $27/hr.

The Family Support Services Supervisor will oversee the Family Center Nassau Family Support Services program in Nassau County to ensure successful integration of family voice in the planning, monitoring, and implementation of services, and the adherence to best practice standards and core values of family driven and youth guided services.

 

More specifically, the responsibilities and qualifications of the position include:

Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee Family Center Nassau (Family Support Services) to ensure meeting contract and state requirements.
  • Coach, support, and evaluate staff to optimize skills and growth, provide constructive feedback and complete performance appraisals.
  • Review and approve all program documentation ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Supervise all staff and maintain cohesive team dynamics with focus on retention and morale.
  • Recruit, hire and train new staff and ensure existing and all new Family Peer Advocates successfully receive the Family Peer Credential.
  • Oversee and assist in planning and facilitation of engagement events.
  • Complete all agency, program and regulatory reports, correspondence and other required documentation and ensure it is submitted by the required deadline.
  • Develop strategies to enhance programmatic efficacy, sustainability and visibility.
  • Review referrals to ensure client eligibility and coordinate assignments for all cases as well as maintain active and discharge rosters and waitlists for services.

 

Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Parent Advocate preferred – parent of a child with special needs, has reached a standard of success and accomplishment within the boundaries of their own child’s diagnosis and personal strength to empower others to achieve the same.
  • Experience supervising other staff, including hiring, training and on-going performance management is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal skills, able to clearly convey information to recipients, comfortably engage diverse populations and interact professionally with care and concern; Excellent written and professional communication skills and exceptional attention to detail;

Required:

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 4 years experience working with children/youth OR Masters Degree with at least one year of experience working with children/youth.
  • FPAs must have completed 3 years of experience working as an FPA with at least one of those years as a credentialed FPA within 6 months of hire.
  • Must have experience working in EHRs.
  • Valid New York State driver’s license with a safe and responsible driving history required.

 

 

Compensation Information

– FCA is committed to a salary framework that aligns with our culture and values. The compensation range reflected is in alignment with our framework and individual pay decisions will vary based on skills and experience’ while still allowing for growth.

Additional Information

-Salary: $27.47 per hour

-Schedule:

-This role is full-time (35 hours/week), Non-Exempt.
